Juvéderm Voluma® XC Receives FDA Approval

The FDA approved JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC for correction of age-related volume loss in the mid-face in adults over the age of 21. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is a crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA) filler of non-animal origin that includes lidocaine in the formulation.

The product is injected into the cheeks and nearby regions to temporarily restore volume and fullness to the areas. In the clinical study cited by the FDA, 86% of patients had an improvement in cheek fullness at six months with results lasting up to two years in a majority of subjects.
